ABOUT ME

Annyung! Before you read about me, let's see this video together!
The World Is Just Awesome

I'm a nice girl, interested in making new friends from all over the world. I really love cats(I think I can understand their expressions and feelings) and my family. I like gardening even though all I have is a small garden.

I'm an easy going, spontaneous person. I don't like competition. I prefer self improvement like yoga, meditation or Asian tea art. In spite of this I win competitions most of the time and, I'm also glad to lose. Through defeat, I can learn lessons and celebrate the winner. That's the way I view the world.

I majored in law at university, but unfortunately I discovered that it was not my path. Instead of studying law, I did lots of other things throughout university. I was a member of a Korean traditional music club. I can play the Kayaguem(A Korean traditional instrument. You can see my picture. Also you can see what a Gayaguem is in this video. The instument behind b-boys.) Also I made some products to sell. If you visit this page, you can see it. I designed, managed, made and sold them in a real shop!

Sometimes I go hiking with my parents. If you want to join the trek our family welcomes the challenge! You can see the whole landscape of the Seoul from the top of the mountain. Seoul is not a city on flat ground like European cities or Tokyo. It is surrounded by hills and mountains. Hope you enjoy this city!

PHILOSOPHY

It's secret.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After I suffered from depression for 1 and a half years (06.2009-10.2010), I decided to travel alone through Europe. It was a huge gift. One of my friends, who studied in Germany, told me about Couchsurfing. It was amazing! This was something I always wanted to participate in. So I donated, verified, hosted and surfed!

Interests

I like antiques, leather products, wooden products, fruits from my garden, pop-up books, gatherings, and Mojitos. I don't like to go clubbing and I hate people who are foul-mouthed or spit in the street. I don't like homophobia, racism, and some guys who think of Asian girls as fantasy dolls.

I'm interested in Human Rights. I am a sponsor of Amnesty International. I did volunteer work for A.I. last year. I hope you are interested in world peace and minority rights. You must see this video.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Night seeing Cupola of 'Basilica di San Pietro' through the key hole of the 'Villa del Priorato di Malta' in Roma with Antonio. (I know. It's so complicated. Hard to understand.)

Finding a Fourth Davide in Firenze. (Not on the roof of the Duomo)

The days in Granada.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everything. What a most wonderful thing couchsurfing is, "adopting a good lifestyle of others". I participated in my 1st CS event with a Praha host and learned about pub culture. Italians showed me their hospitality with food. I learned some cooking even though they may not have noticed they taught me. If I teach or give you something, I may not notice. I am just showing you a piece of Korean lifestyle.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Monaco, Morocco, Spain, Turkey, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

South Korea
