Overview
About Me
I was born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to the United States when I was four. I lived in California for a little over 13 years and moved back to Korea in order to study Bio-Convergence at Yonsei University. I hope someday to use this knowledge to help find methods to lower the cost of medication so that low-income families do not feel burdened by something necessary for living a comfortable life.
***WHY I CANNOT HOST*** As much as I would love to repay the favor of hosting someone, I cannot since I am currently residing in the dormitory of my school. However, I would love to meet up and show you around Seoul or answer any questions you may have~
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I lived in California, I mainly traveled around states near me (Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, etc.). I always dreamed of traveling, but never pursued it until I came to Korea and began to explore the various regions of my home country with my friends and family. I caught the travel bug and hope to be able to share my culture and experience others', while I am traveling to places outside of America and South Korea.
I would love to host, but I am currently living in the dorms on campus so I cannot. However, once I get my own place, maybe it will change! If you ever come to Korea please don't be afraid to message me! I would love to give you tips or help show you around :)
Interests
My interests are widely varied, but they mostly consist of: movie marathons, knitting, origami, long distance running, swimming, community service, playing clarinet/guitar/ukelele, listening to music, photography, reading, writing, video editing, and baking (but i'm still working on it haha).

Music, Movies, and Books
I know this may sound cliche, but I really enjoy all genres of music! I am constantly listening to music so depending on my mood, my genre of choice changes drastically ^^;
I love watching movies whenever I have free time so it is difficult for me to choose, but I love all works done by Hayao Miyazaki (I currently became re-obsessed with Spirited Away)
I love to read, but lately instead of getting lost in a book, I have gotten obsessed with poetry!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I somehow get myself into situations where I get badly injured, but I always manage to recover with only a few scars and a head full of memories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to teach English (I currently work as an English speaking and writing tutor) or Korean! I took 4 years of Spanish classes, but sadly I am slowly forgetting the language, but my listening comprehension is still okay~ I could also teach clarinet, guitar, and ukelele if you want to learn.
I would love to share my life experiences or learn about yours! I currently study at an international college so I have been exchanging stories with people from all over the world for the past two years and it has been an eye-opening experience that makes me want to continue doing so as I travel.
I could also share my culture with you by bringing some Korean goodies or tell you about Korean culture. I can cook common Korean dishes as well if the ingredients are available ^^
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you Korean/English or share some Korean snacks, if you're interested. I can tell you stories or geek out over music, movies, tv shows, books, etc with you. All in all, I'd love to share my culture and experiences if you are willing to share yours!
