About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience different cultures, meet new people, enjoy life.

ABOUT ME

I'm pretty easy going in general, you know, just roll with the punches. No use in stressing or getting worked up over something that is pretty inconsequential in the long run. I tend to be pretty upfront and blunt, rather than sugar coat things. Well then, doesn't that little intro paint me like the warm and fuzzy harbinger of joy. I swear I'm funny! And nice!

A best friend would probably say something about how I'm nice and respectful and all around well mannered. I make an excellent house guest because I like to cook and I'm actually pretty darn good at it too. Right now my specialty is alcoholic cupcakes based on cocktails. Pretty yummy!

PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My very first surfing experience was in Hawaii. It was amazing meeting such nice people! Until my roommate and I get settled into our apartment (theres a leak in our ceiling right now...) and schedules, we would love to host some surfers! I am definitely down to meeting new people and showing off my city too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed on two couches so far and both experiences were amazing. I had no idea everyone would be so nice and accommodating!

Interests

The last few years I've taken up running. Most of my travels in the past year have been for destination races. Soon, I hope to take on triathlons. I've also developed a passion for food and cooking. I love learning about local fares and culinary traditions.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm really starting to get into the bluesy jazz and bluegrass stuff. It tickles me in all the right places!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running my first marathon was one of the hardest and most satisfying thing I have ever accomplished. I was fortunate enough to have amazing friends cheering for me as I made my final miles to the finish line. When I made it across the finish line, I couldn't help but tear up!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty good in the kitchen. I can teach you a few culinary skills. I work part time as a math and science tutor... so I can probably wow you with some facts. If that fails, I'm sure I can tell you a joke.
I would love to learn more languages and culture from around the world. Actually, I just like learning in general. I'll take anything I can get!
