About Me

CURRENT MISSION

There are seven wonders in this world. I will find an 8th,

ABOUT ME

I'm never really sure what to say in these boxes. It's aways quite frustrating because you know you have so much to say but are unable to get everything out. To sum me up in three words: Disney, Musical Theatre, Laughter. Of course there's always more to know, except I'm not Dumbledore and can't sum up a life story in a single quote.

**UPDATE: I have learned that CS has me listed with a 50% response rate to messages. I assure you THIS IS NOT true. When you send me a request I get an email. Due to my job, I tend to respond after 1-2 days. I will NOT leave you hanging for a week. I'm not sure of CS's algorithm for this, but never be afraid to drop me a line :)

PHILOSOPHY

"Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open."--(Guess lol)

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."--Dr. Seuss

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm extremely active when it comes to participation. I normally learn while doing, so reading directions never really work for me, but trial and error normally do. Honestly, to build a good relationship, one has to be willing to put the needs of others before them. I may be tired, but if you want to jog up a mountain side, let's try it out :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never actually CouchSurfed. However, before I leave college, that experience needs to happen. If it's anything like when my friend just walks into my house and curls up on the couch then, yeah, that's not okay. haha. I prefer to get to know where I am, and have the people hosting give me all the insider secrets.

UPDATE: I have only had positive experiences in my couch surfing life :) Friendly folks and lovely families, all because people who welcome you into their homes are willing to learn and teach. It's an experience everyone needs to have and respect. Advice: bring something from your home, and feel free to share exactly what you're given.

Interests

Disney, Musical Theatre, Laughing, MOVIES! (you'll be my best friend if you love John Hughes as much as I do), People watching, Dancing (in a club, or on the street...or with myself), "shopping" (mostly just going into store trying on stuff and having an 80's movie montage), PUPPIES!
And people watching: I think people forget to take some time out of their life to sit down at a bus stop, a mall, an airport, to just watch other people.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is always hard to really express my love for a particular kind of genre of books, movies, or music. But I will say this:

Films--Anything Time Burton and John Hughes
Books--Anything Augusten Burroughs and Marc Acitio
Music--Anything except country.

However! The following movie/music/book are all at the top of my list as they are something I can always watch/listen to/read over and over and over again:

Favourite movie: The Breakfast Club
Fvaourite book: How I Paid for College a novel of Sex, Drugs, and Musical Theatre
Favourite song: {whatever is in my 'Recently Added' bin]

I feel these are great conversation starters, so please feel free to ask, and that way the ball will be rolling!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Feeding and washing tigers/tiger cubs and riding/swimming with elephants in Thailand :)
-Climbing the Great Wall of China and just resting at the top...twice
-cliff diving 60 feet into a 300 ft deep quarry...the best adrenaline rush ever.
-Learning about and eating 7 bowls of Patbingsu in S.Korea

Teach, Learn, Share

Here's the deal, you teach me how to fish for a lifetime, I'll teach you how to make apples into lemonade.

In all honesty, I have many skills and traits that are unique to me. I am willing to teach you how to play slide, if your open to teaching me your fun loving skills. If you can play an instrument, I can lend you my voice. Also I'm a dance student with strong skills in latin ballroom, contemporary, jazz and hip hop, sooooo there's that...

What I Can Share with Hosts

This truly is a difficult thing to answer. People are able to offer each other so many things from skills to trades. I can offer wisdom, and a promise of a good laugh :)
