My name's Jiří (George in English) and I'm from the Czech Republic. I'm 20 years old and I have just finished my first year as a university student. I grew up in Jablonec nad Nisou, which is in the north of my country.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

My girlfriend told me about Couchsurfing because I needed a place to stay on my journey to the UK. Apart from that, I see it as a great opportunity to meet new people, explore other countries and share experience. I would like to travel a lot in the future and I hope this would help me afford the journeys. Also, I like to meet the locals rather than just spend my holiday in an international hotel when I might feel comfortable, but certainly not like exploring a new culture.

兴趣

I used to compete in cross country skiing when I was in high school. I still take part in some competitions for fun now. From time to time I do some work out. I love nature and many kinds of sports so I'd say I'm a really active person who wants to make the most of their life.

音乐、电影和书籍

Music: I listen to nearly everythink. It depends on the mood I have.

Movies: I do not often watch movies with tragical ending. I feel sorry for the characters afterwards. I like to relax while watching. My favourite movies are Forest Gump, Eurotrip, Lord of the Rings etc..

Books: I like 1984 from Orwell because of it's connection to the historical backround.

I would like to share my positive attitude towards life as well as my experience. I like to discuss stuff and I can't wait to hear other people's opinions. Also, I strongly believe in the importance of meeting new people because you can always bring something new and extraordinary to their lives - no matter why you came in first place. In winter se can do cross-country skiing.
