ABOUT ME

I'm 24 years old and from Leiden, Holland. I love to discover new places and meet new people, preferably from all over the world. After finally getting my degree in marketing psychology, I have been able to do an amazing 4,5 month trip though New Zealand! That has been absolutely amazing and it was definitely the first of many amazing trips. It's true: I have been infected by the travel bug :)

Don't regret what you've done yesterday, every experience (good or bad) is an experience that can help you make today even better!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I'm not able to host at this moment because I am not often home and never know when I will be! I hope to be able to host at some point i the future and give something back to the couchsurfing community!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Unfortunately I haven't been able to host yet, since I used to live in a very small one-room apartment and now am not often home. Friends of mine have though, and through them I got to know a lot of interesting people! I met one of my best friends through their hosting and also a guy from Korea who taught us to spell our name in Korean :)

Also, when me and my friend (yes, the one I met through couchsurfing!) visited Londen, a guy from New Zealand contacted us for a day of sightseeing. It was really nice and a few weeks later he came to Holland to see us (and he has been back a few times since).

While travelling in NZ, I have also couchsurfed a few times and I was amazed by the hospitality that I found everywhere! Kindness comes in many different forms, but I found kindness everywhere :) It has been amazing to share stories and experiences and I can't wait to surf again, or host if I can!

So the thing I love about couchsurfing is meeting people from all over the world. It's nice to share a little of your culture and learn more about other cultures and it's great to make friends everywhere!

I love fantasy books, like the ones by the late ( :'( )Terry Pratchett. My favourite author is Brandon Sanderson, his books are just all-out awesome. Also I'm still a bit stuck in my childhood love for Harry Potter :)

Movies... Anything but horror/thriller movies really...

Music would be mostly things like Bon Jovi, Green Day, Incubus... But I also like happy pop-songs and a lot of British stuff :)

The Kepler track in New zealand: most amazing views of the Fiordland peaks above the clouds!
Every single track I did in NZ really, and the people I met along the way. Those days out in nature were the best days of the whole trip :)

Also, I once met someone who collected translations for the phrase 'nice shoes, wanna fuck?' in any language that he could find. If you want to know something like that in Dutch, I can help you! Of course I can also teach you something else in Dutch if you like :)

I like to bake! Made cookies for one of my hosts while he was at work. I also like to cook and love to swap recipes with hosts :)
