Overview
About Me
I am student living WNY, and I study biomedical engineering.
I moved to states when I was 9, and I never considered US nor Korea home.
Although I have been living in Buffalo for 11 years now, I consider myself nomad.
I never felt anywhere I have been living as home.
I feel more comfortable when I am wandering around through out the country.
One thing I am passionate about is living in christian life.
I have strong faith in christian God who is loving and mighty.
Therefore, my motto is to have reflection of Christ.
I don't know how I am doing personally, but I am trying my best.
I am an introvert, but I do love people.
I just don't like places that is crowded with people.
Most people don't really notice me as introvert.
I went on various mission trips which allowed me to meet so many people.
I also had a trip to Navajo Reservation in NM for a week, Rocky Mountin in Estate Park for week and a half,
and I lived in Clearwater Beach, FL for 2 months.
They all was for either mission project of mission trip.
I had many opportunities to learn about people's spiritual faith in their religion and their walk.
REALLY interesting.
I love hearing about people's spiritual life.
Experience like this allowed me to learn to love the people who I encounter everyday.
I love traveling in roads. My favorite method of traveling is through bus.
This allows me to meet so many people.
I love sustainability!
Sustainability is such a interesting topic to me.
Throughout my life, I always have been taught to eat foods that are sustainable (I'm not a vegan though), wear clothes that are ethically and sustainably made, and live sustainably in general.
However, I got REALLY into sustainability last year.
I don't call my life style as zerowaste, but I do my best to reduce trash.
I love carrying my own cutlery, straws, and containers.
They are also
I don't use packaged toiletries.
My 90% of the clothes I wear and bought recently are ethically and sustainably made.
I got into sustainability because of my christian faith.
God made me to enjoy His BEAUTIFUL creation.
Why would I want to ruin it with by using single use plastics sake of MY convinience when washing my cutleries take less than 5 minutes to do so?
Lastly, I VERY interested in #vanlife.
Remember I said I consider myself is nodmad?
I want to live in a van when I graduate.
I love the idea of having house with me everywhere I go.
Love learning about building a van and living in a van.
I have an idea of how my van would look like,
but I need to figure out how to put the functions together and make it work.
This is where I would be using my BME degree ^^;
To sum everything up, I am basically a total hippie who is christian.
And I love it!!!!!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am in Couchsurfing because to meet new people and to connect.
I will admit. I am a college student without any jobs.
So when I am traveling, finding places to stay is a big challenge.
I was able to find other alternatives like finding hostels or stay in 24 hr Korean bathhouse (in really big city like NYC).
However, I want to learn about the locations.
The stories of the locals.
I want to see where the locals eat.
I want to see where the locals to go for entertainment to really learn and connect in the location I am in.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all the music other than pop.
I guess one artist I like from pop is Gentle Bones.
I love indie and alternative.
I was classically trained to play violin until high school.
I love talking about music history from historical beginning to jazz.
My mother is a professional pianist who studied music history.
I love guessing composer of classical piece.
My favorite type of movies are Japanese horror or mystery.
Those movies are really interesting. They are one of the most creative people out there.
I love watching horror movie, not to get scared but to laugh.
I find horror movies really funny.
My friends get weirded by that, but that's who I am.
Books.
My favorite book of all time is The Phantom of the Opera
I read 5 times, and cried 5 times.
I also love reading cringey teenage novels.
Honestly, I haven't read single books but textbooks since highschool.
Part of reason why I am in engineering is because i am lowkey iliterate.
I cannot write forever, and I take forever to read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I never have taken classes below 15 credits.
I managed to pull my grades up in my sophomore year,
even though I was working 20 hours a week with 17 credits.
I woke up at 4AM in the morning, and went home at 12 AM.
Gosh, what am I doing now????
I also travelled with a backpack, skateboard, and a violin for 2 months.
The backpack wasn't those traveling backpack.
I just had my Jan Sports backpack.
I had everything in there.
I had my clothes, laptop, film camera, toiletries, Bible, notebook, sewing kit, polaroid 600, tupperware, waterbottle, towel and my trusty cutleries.
It was first time traveling all by myself.

I love teaching gospels.
I lead a small group in my campus.

I have my swim instructor certification and lifeguard certification.
I can teach you little bit of Korean.
I taught Korean to kids since I was in 5th grade.
Mostly, toddlers.
I can teach basic Korean though.
I would love to learn languages: German, Italian, French, and Swedish.
