Hey! I'm Jiten, a passionate outdoor enthusiast. I was born and raised in Spain to Indian parents, and I've been living and working in London for the last 10 years.

My interests include nature, outdoors, hiking, sports, music, reading, cooking, meeting new people, and exploring new cultures. I have also backpacked across 10+ countries in Europe and Asia. My highlights have been
- Climbing the highest mountain in North Africa Jebel Toubkal (4,179m) in Morocco
- Going on a bar and karaoke crawl in Osaka with 2 locals
- Canyoning in the forests of Madeira

My friends would describe me as calm, composed, independent,open minded, strategic, curious, philosophical, adventure-seeking, honest, a good listener.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am an avid backpacker who likes to travel to new countries, meet new local people, and learn about local and cultural customs. I believe Couchsurfing can help me travel in a more authentic way, whilst sharing back my culture and background with local people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like indie and alternantive rock (The Black Keys, Kings of Leon, The National, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and many more), and electronica (floating points, ross from friendns, max cooper, etc.)

Movies: I love psychological thrillers, crime, neo-noirs and drama. I like movies that make me think and question reality.

Books: I've mostly been reading non-fiction across various themes and topics like history, politics, physics, biology, nature, philosophy. My favourite book is Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed the highest mountain in Taiwan, Mount Yushan (3,952m) in one day over 10 hours of walking.

I can teach spanish, weightlifting, boxing, and healthy cooking lifestyles. I can cook healthy food from across various cuisines like Turkish, Greek, Moroccan and many more!
