Hello everyone,

My name is Jitka and I am 25 years old. I am from Czech Republic and I live in a small but nice apartment together with my fiance and our three bunnies in Prague. Currently I am working as a receptionist for EOH. Previously I lived and worked in UK as an Au pair for almost three years. I very much enjoy cooking and trying new recipes around whole food plant based diet. I love doing yoga even though I am only beginner. I think it's amazing thing to do to make balance between your physical and mental health.

Matěj is 25 years old and he is working as a prototype engineer for Valeo. Previously he lived in UK, same as me, where he was working for one family as a estate manager. He is very passionate about bouldering and he also love playing guitar or computer games with his friends.

Matěj and I have met in UK for the first time while we were both working in the same town. After a year we decided to move in Prague and start to live together. We are both vegans for so many reasons (ethical, ecological and health). I think that we are both very peaceful, friendly, kind, polite, respectful and open minded.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, first of all we would like to try something new and traveling this way seem to be very interesting. I think that get in touch with locals while traveling can bring the exploring to another level. You get the chance to get to know many varied people with different backgrounds, cultures and experiences which is fantastic!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like many different kind of music but my favorite is pop. I like more series then movies but in both cases I prefer genres like comedies, dramas or thrillers. Unfortunately, I am not reading books much but that is something I would like to work on. However, my favourite book of all the time is How not to die from doctor Michael Greger.

Matěj can also listen to different kind of music but his favorite is metal, rock and blues. However, sometimes he is passively listening to Beyonce with me without complaining too much : D He likes movies and series of different types from action through comedies ending to fantasy. When he is reading books its usually about guitars but he is not a big reader, same as me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It definitely was the living in UK. I came here all alone with very poor English and I had to find my way how to fit in somehow. Thanks to this experience I became independent and I learned English very well which is why I can do my current job. I have many unforgettable memories and experiences. Last but not least I have met my man there which makes this experience the best thing I have ever done so far :)
