Like every indie directors and freelancers, I work a lot, but I try to leave my beloved workstation whenever I can.

Since I started my latest film talking about miscommunication, which is somehow a documentary, I started feeling this urge of stepping out of my comfort zone! Knowing people, sharing cultures and all the subtle difference between us suddenly become such a vivid hope, rather than just a 'goal' told in all the text books.

After a weird pre-experience of my first cs, I've been told my a superhost friend that it's a great way for us to know various ppl around the world so... lemme try this again? :P

Need to confess, I do enjoy staying home or in a cafe, reading or watching films. Nerdy innit? Being accompanied by the continuously changing light, the rain, the sound, and shapes of people passing by are equally important than music.

Oh yes I have a big window next to my desk :D

Haha but I do go out! Love going to exhibitions, gigs, visiting markets, independent shops, watching films, and meeting my busy friends :)

Stopped taking buses and instead go to everywhere by feet. It's exciting to feel the gradience of the environments between home and wherever I'm going to. Also there are always surprises like independent galleries that I've never known!

One day I'll go to Japan :D

For work and for my own sake, I need to watch a lot of short and feature films. However, for some reason I watched my first movie when I was 18, so there's a lot to catch up on! Love almost everything from Satoshi Kon, Ghibli and many independent productions. Lately I've seen one called 'from this end of the world' which is really touching and has its unique subtle style.

& Can't live without my headphones I listen to various kinds of music as I still see myself new and want to explore more! Lately on my playlist: Jon Hopkins, Tycho, Peter Paul and Mary, Joe Hisaishi, 巴奈, Fire EX., Múm, Argo Vals, Tom Rosenthal, Baby Metal, The Beatles, Coldplay, Daughter, Explosions in the Sky, Four Tet, Hans Zimmer, Jamie xx, Muse, Radiohead, Sigur Rós, Tizzy Bac, Vimes, Edith Piaf, etcetc...

I have a BIG interest in food and patisseries – making (patisseries) and eating (everything!) Plus am a tea/coffee drinker :) Used to skip a lot of meals for fewer good ones ouch... shall we go somewhere and get our tongues some adventure?

Um... language wise, I speak decent Mandarin, and know both traditional and simplified Chinese. So... if you'd ever fancy this super complicated language, it'd be my pleasure to share this with you :)
