Originally from Seoul, but grew up in Bangkok and Taipei. I have been living in Boston for three years, and am now working at a hospital where I investigate the genetic underpinnings of sleep phenotypes in large cohort studies.

I love growing plants from seed, listening to people talk about what they are passionate about, and learning about anything and everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Though I made an account while living in the Netherlands, I never actually used it. I hope to utilize it more to meet more locals where I am traveling, because you never really know a city until you've lived in it, and the next best thing is to see it through the eyes of someone who has.

Interests

Traveling, reading, movies, neuroscience, genomics, art, gardening, baking, running. Other hobbies and interests are constantly changing because I easily get distracted. And food, of course.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite movies: Mary and Max, Memento, The Lives of Others, What We Do in the Shadows, Hot Fuzz. In general, black comedy, psychological thrillers, animated movies and sad dramas that make you cry your eyes out.

I like classical music, especially with string instruments (particularly chamber music). I also love jazz - I always
have a playlist on when I'm coding.

Books - I love The Little Prince and have a copy of it in French that I dream of reading one day when I finally learn the language! Other favorites are hard to decide, but the best book I read in the past year is Lab Girl.
