About Me
My favorite saying is “If one cannot stand alone then neither can two stand alone”. With this saying deeply grafted into my heart, I took the courage to live in France alone for 6 months. I wanted to broaden my view of the world through exchanges and communications with people from diverse nationalities just like the cast of the Korean TV program, . Thus I decided to be a foreign exchange student as the first step of my evolution into a greater person. Now, the second step is Couchsurfing. Through this, I'll learn diverse cultures and make a lot of unforgettable experiences.
Interests
I am interested in various types of houses all over the world so I wanna see and learn as many as different houses and buildings in foreign countries. If I could stay there for few days, it would be really great experience for me. I also volunteered for 2 years in ‘Habitat’, a construction volunteer program, and 'Aurumi', which is included in Korea Housing Guarantee. After volunteering, I became interested in housing welfare, in particular. So I hope to learn the housing systems of other foreign countries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year, I traveled United States by myself for a month!! It was the first time that I travel alone. I stayed my cousin's house, my friend's house and hostels. A month was not a long time but I made lots of nice memories. Of course, there were many problems during the trip.
For example, when I arrived NYC, my big luggage bag whose size was 29 inch was totally broken so I could not only open but also close it. I was so scared and worried that I cried in the strange place. I just wanted to go back home. Soon, however, I realized that no one can help me. I stopped crying and tried to strap the bag with luggage strap. Anyway, I finally got to the hostel and bought a cheap luggage at a store for the rest of trip.
Also I made a trouble when I visited a small art gallery in LA. I sank my teeth into seeing art works. After appreciating all the art works, I tried to get out through the exit and opened the door but the alarm bell rang loudly!!! I was so shocked that ran to the entrance. The security guard got extremely angry at me. He said that the exit was for the emergency and the entrance was also exit. In fact, there was the sign "EXIT" in red, but I thought it is just red. I was too stupid. I truly apologized for my mistake.
I cannot forget the trip in United States. I learned so many things during the trip. (after the trip, too!) It helped me grow as a grown-up. Because of this, I like to travel and I cannot stop traveling. I can't wait for the next trip to come. I'm sure that I'll make brilliant memories with couchsurfing!
