Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to experience the world from a local person's point of view, so I'd love to meet some people who want to show off their home cities.

I've lived in London for almost a decade and I'd love to show off my home city, especially now in the current political climate, I'd love to show people how warm and welcoming real Londoners can really be.

Interests

I've recently taken up photography as a hobby. I came to this through my work in the TV and film industry. Even though I work in the sound department I am surrounded by cameras and people obsessed with visuals! This led to me becoming more interested in visual art forms and it's something that I really enjoy.

Obviously, as I am a sound engineer, music is quite important to me. I am a big fan of classical music and love to see orchestral performances.

I love reading and almost always have a book to read. I generally read sci-fi or fantasy, but I am not discriminating and will read pretty much anything that is well written!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite piece of music is Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov. I saw this performed live at Vienna's Musikverein. It was awesome!

For my favourite movies, it's a tie between Pulp Fiction and The Dark Knight. Or maybe Die Hard? It's hard to choose! But yeah, I do like quiet thought provoking films, but big explosions are fun!

My favourite book is Ender's Game, though my favourite author is probably Terry Pratchett. The Hitch Hiker guide To The Galaxy has a special place in my heart too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once cycled from London to Istanbul.
