About Me

HI, I have been living overseas in Thailand (15 years) HongKong (1) Guam(2) and have traveled to 17 countries. As of April 20th 2016 I will be in the USA again and moving to SF in May. I am going to be riding across the US from April through May. I am super laid back, open for anything. I am 41, but don't be fooled, I am hang with the best. Always up for a good time, but don't have to party everyday. Just want to keep loving life and travel. I am self sufficient, and have managed several programs over the years and just love to give life everything. Don't worry, I still have a huge house in south Thailand and can hook you up with many different places to stay all around Thailand and the southern islands.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and having great experiences. I am also very frugal and always believe in reuse, and recycling whenever possible. And as and avid free diver and nature lover, I believe whole heartedley in protecting Everything. I usually carry everything I need on my back on in small bags. I can sleep in my hammock, in a barn, on a couch or right in the sand.

Interests

Ultimate Frisbee, Kayaking, Windsurfing, Cliff jumping, Mountain Biking, SCUBA, freediving, and ANYTHING out doors.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love any Live music. I love listening to any type of music played on instruments, especially string. I love the blues, rock, old school rap, bluegrass, country... not so much into tech or drum and bass, but I do love love full moon parties and burning man.

Movies, I don't really watch too many. More into traveling, usually where they don't have movie theaters. Favorite all time, maybe Goonies. I did really like the "new" Starwars.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I set up and ran one of the largest English language schools in southern Thailand (5,000 students). I applied for a grant, set up and managed a program for the US State Depart, where over 150 severally economically challenged students from very rural south Thailand where able to student English and obtain affordable transportation to school.

More extreme: The Pluge, Dano. Turtle Save Project, Mo Ko Surin, Thailand. Marianas trench, Blue Hole, Guam,,, found and named 23 waterfalls in the Khoa Luang National park, Thailand last year alone....

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn and to teach. It is was my career and such a great feeling knowing you are doing a great thing and helping others. It has taken me all over the world. There is still so much to learn and living is sharing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories from afar maybe a bottle of beer. Ways to travel, especially Asia, on a very tight budget. Crazy stories from red light allies to ball room dances in Embassies. Or, just an ear for listening and a nice dinner.

I also have a large network of friends, pre-couch-surfing friends throughout the world and have several places to help you find a place to stay.

Most of all a totally worry free experience as I will go out of my way, not to be in yours.
