I am a full time railroader and part-time photographer. I have three amazing cats (who stay at home), a blog (jjsommer.com), and a desire to tramp about in my Volkswagen making photographs. I am a non-smoker and occasional joke maker.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a photographer and enjoy road trips. I want to use Couch Surfing to better connect with local, genuine people on my travels instead of staying in hotels. I think the people who I meet through CS will be able to offer a lot of insight into the places I go as well.

I like most music, I read mostly non-fiction, and enjoy spooky films.
