ABOUT ME

Hi! We're Bobbie and Julia. We've been together 7 years and have lived all over Canada. We now find ourselves living in Dawson City, Yukon. Our constant companion is Spruce, our mid-sized rescue dog. She is 2 years old and one of the most gentle, laid-back dogs out there.
We love living in the North. We can't spend enough time outside, skiing, snowshoeing, skijoring, dogsledding, hiking, biking and most importantly, paddling! We are easy-going and love to laugh. We're potluck people, make our own wine, and love to explore. We are excited to see as much of the Yukon, NWT and Alaska as we can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We hope to build our own place with a couch - plans for a log cabin are underway. In the meantime we are happy to accommodate as best we can, and are very willing tour guides.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some of our favorite travelling experiences have been exchange/billet situations, where we have been invited into a home and shown an amazing time. We would love to reciprocate.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Julia: I have led a number of remote northern canoe trips in Ontario, Quebec, the Yukon and Nunavut. They have been some of the most important experiences of my life. I have been challenged, inspired, and awe-struck many times over.

Bobbie: Travelled through North America, South America, Europe, Northern Africa.. Still for Bobbie, wilderness tripping is the most satisfying experience of all.

Teach, Learn, Share

Bobbie loves to cook and he's not bad at it. He would love to cook for you, couch surfer!

Julia has spent lots of years as an outdoor education instructor and feels pretty passionately about it.

Both of us feel strongly about the outdoors and the environment and would love to learn and share as much as possible.
