CURRENT MISSION

Like many others, I would one day like to just travel the world on a whim. The next trip of mine will be to my hometown in the Pacific Northwest (USA). I have many friends and family I'd like to visit, as well as explore the many beautiful areas I could not explore as a child. After that in October is Peru!!

My name is JJ. My mother is Filipino, and my dad is an American. I have a great desire to travel the world and am in a position now where I'm able to finally start doing so. I love to explore and experience new things. I would love to meet more people who have the same interest in traveling and making great memories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently (as of 1/21/14) very new to couchsurfing. I have heard great things about this site. I am starting off slowly and learning to navigate around, before I discuss the idea of hosting with my roommates. In the meantime, I am planning a trip to Peru this upcoming April and a trip to Switzerland in 2015.

May 2015 update - The Peru trip did not happen as planned last April, but I finally have a ticket purchased for this upcoming October! With that aside, I still am not able to host at the moment with my living situation. I would love, however, to show fellow travelers around town and some of my favorite areas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not too much here yet, unfortunately. I DID, however, use CS to link up with a local (now friend) in Puerto Rico to go exploring!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a great movie, no matter what the genre. If it's worthwhile, and can get my mind going, then I'm interested. Nothing can top a great book for me. I will read anything I can get my hands on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have made a cross country trip of the USA three times. They have all been when I was younger, unable to drive by myself. The trip was between 5-8 days, depending on how often we were able to stop. This was an amazing experience with family; being able to escape the routine of my normal daily life was great.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some interesting (hopefully) communication and stories. I also like to cook.....washing the dishes, not so much; but still doable!

I love to explore and am very easy to get along with. I am a willing companion for anyone who wants to explore the cities and towns, or to go out to a party or just have some drinks.
