ABOUT ME

I'm a third-year at UCSB (University of California, Santa Barbara),
but currently studying abroad in Lund, Sweden.
I was born in S. Korea, but I've lived in California my whole life.
I love being around people and I love to make people happy.

PHILOSOPHY

"Accept what is" and "Always with heart"
are my two main mottos.
I live my life with high expectancy, but without expectations.
I will take whatever comes my way and make the best out of it all.
A lot of people try to plan out their lives really specifically,
but life often laughs at us and we end up with something completely different from what we originally had in mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I'm unable to host any surfers since I'm abroad,
but as soon as I return to Santa Barbara I am more than happy to open up my home to all (and I'm sure my roommates will be as well)

Interests

I'm pretty much in the middle of being an outdoorsy person and someone who likes to stay in.
I love hiking/backpacking/camping,
but at the same time I really enjoy sewing/baking/being lazy.

I love food. Any food. I've eaten roasted spiders and live shrimp. There's nothing I won't try.

I've always wanted to learn how to surf, but I haven't had to chance to try it out yet. I love the ocean. The only requirement I had for college was that my school had to be near the ocean, and now I live a five minute walk from the beach. There's no way I can go to the beach and not end up jumping in.

Unfortunately, I'm not blessed with any artistic talent, but I'm quite the patron of the arts. I love going to museums and live shows. I'm amazed at the abilities that artists have, and I love watching them do what they love.

I'm also extremely interested in fashion. I love to shop, but I love just observing different styles as well. I love being in Sweden because everyone here always dresses with such great style.

Travelling is also a huge interest of mine. I don't see how anyone on couchsurfing wouldn't like to travel. Being abroad is providing me with an amazing opportunity to fulfill my dreams to travel more.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to indie/indie folk, electro, a little bit of dubstep,
but I'm very open minded about music. I love going to live shows, no matter what type of music it is.

The movies I watch are always pretty random, I try to stay away from chick flicks because we have a love/hate relationship.
'Despicable Me' was the last movie I watched, and I really really loved it.
