About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am looking to travel, meet new friends, and have new experiences.
ABOUT ME
I am someone who likes to talk to strangers, who can usually make the best out of any situation, and who isn't afraid to laugh at themselves.
PHILOSOPHY
I am on a journey to self discovery, trying to take each experience and grow from it. I believe that life is what you make it and that people are generally good.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am trying to become a more cultured and well traveled person, so I thought where better to start than here?! I have not yet hosted although I am certain I will at some point as I always love to play tour-guide to anyone from out of town (my friend works at a hotel bar here in Appleton, WI so that has happened on many occasions)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had zero couch-surfing experiences. It sounds like it would be a great way to get to experience a new city and would make traveling alone more exciting.
Interests
I like to fancy myself a "jack of all trades, master of none". I like to try new things, and lately my newest obsession has been all things craft beer.
- beer
- partying
- traveling
- blogging
- surfing
- skydiving
- zip-line
- tourism
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite movie ever? The Usual Suspects. Close behind; The Matrix, and Grease. Odd combo but that's what I like :)
I really like Mumford and Sons, Regina Spektor, One Republic, Ingrid Michaelson, Damien Rice, Sarah Bareilles, Bright Eyes, and Radiohead ...just to name a few.
I also like a lot of stuff from the 90s.
The best book I ever read: Sophie's Choice. The book I read most recently: 50 Shades of Grey I don't know how but got caught up in the hype-wasn't really a fan. I just kept reading thinking it would get better. It didn't.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been zip lining and skydiving. I have also been through Basic Training (that was a trip).
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmm things I can share--well that is pretty broad. I am good company and get along with just about everyone. I plan to take a trip to Seattle and stay with more than one host over the course of a week. I also plan to document my trip as best I can with photos, blog entries, videos, ect.
I am a craft beer enthusiast with a thirst for knowledge..and more beer lol. I can share what I have learned so far!
I would like to end my trip by inviting all of my hosts to a sendoff party on my last night in town. So that would probably be pretty cool!
