About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To have a good time, all the time. And to maybe help other people see that not all Americans are over-consuming, ethnocentric jerks. That some of us are loving, compassionate humans, too! And then I hope to meet like-minded people all over.
ABOUT ME
Photographer by day, banjo, dobro and guitar player, avid hiker and camper. I brew beer. I compost and wrangle worms. I can't wait to get my veggie garden going in the spring. Interested in permaculture and organic food. Love sailing, xc skiing and snowboarding. Student at the U - anthropology and media arts (post production). Interested in the profound. Keenly fascinated with other cultures, but also fascinated (and sometimes appalled) by my own. Grew up in the great NorthEast in cabins and in the mosquitoey woods - lived in SF for a decade and now I'm living in Missoula, Montana! I have a medium sized black lab/border collie mix - she will growl at you at first, but then I just need to put an arm around your shoulders and give her the 'dad approved' vibe, and have you feed her a dog treat or two and she warms up. She's like that with everyone and has never bitten anyone. She's a sweetie, just skeptical of everyone at first. I also have a cat who is a mellow guy. They are both in and out of the yard when the weather is nice.
PHILOSOPHY
Laughing, floating, sliding, smiling, loving and moving...

Music, Movies, and Books
All kinds of music, electronic! rap! metal! classical! even country! (bluegrass mainly);
mostly non-fiction; and most any cinema.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sang the French and US anthems at an Expos/Rangers game in Montreal. Watching the birth of my son (now 11yo)
A handful of mostly indescribable personal epiphanies and revelations in mostly non-mainstream environments.
Grand backpacking trips to wacky ecosystems.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach people about photography and digital design. I am a Photoshop instructor in the summer. I know a good amount of español. I love to talk about the environment and learn about new technologies. Open to just about anything....
