About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world through other eyes, and to eat as much great food as possible!

ABOUT ME

I'm a small town guy who moved to a very big city a few years ago to pursue a career. A lot of people may find my job to be a little boring or mundane, but I don't mind it and I don't believe anybody should be defined by their job. I'm happy for people that make money doing what they love, but for me, I'd rather money not get in the way of my passions. Since moving to the big city I've learned a lot about different cultures and it's given me a passion to learn a whole lot more about the world.

PHILOSOPHY

"When there is no peril in the fight, there is no glory in the triumph." - A. Alvarez

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've surfed a couple of couches and had a really great time meeting some really cool people. I'd like to be able to host sometime soon before I take off on my world tour where I'm sure I'll meet many great couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

100% great experiences. It really shows you that the world is full of great people no matter where you go. I heard one guy say that if Israeli's couchsurfed on Palestinian couches and Palestinians couchsurfed on Israeli couches there would be no war in the Middle East - I agree.

Interests

Always changing, always adapting - I just keep getting into new stuff but here is what I'm usually up to:

Motorcycling - I never believed I ever start this hobby and now I'll never believe that I'll ever quit it!
Movies - Love the typical Hollywood fluff and I don't care that movies geeks don't.
Music - Can't play, but I live to listen (except for country and rap of course...)
Snowboarding - I'm Intermediate at best but I have fun anyway.
Hockey - I'm probably pretty average for a Canadian but like to think I'd fare well Internationally.
Cooking - I'm a rookie but I've heard I'm decent for a bachelor.
Swimming - Gotta love the water.
Rollerblading - Can't do tricks but it's a great way to enjoy the outdoors and a sunny day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I got to do:
On the eve of the last US Election I rode my motorcycle from Toronto to Atlanta in less than 24 hours. It was a crazy adventure, almost killed myself a few times (only had my license for 3 months) and no, it actually had nothing to do with the US Election. But yeah, adventure of a lifetime...

These are the countries I've been to so far...
