About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet many people and see the world in the process
ABOUT ME
I'm a Midwesterner at heart but seem to grow an affinity for wherever I'm at. I lived in Athens, Georgia for almost a year and totally loved the people, hospitality, and...football culture. And now, it's not hard to explain my likings for Southern California; just come visit, you'll see. Being from first love Minnesota, the only U.S. continental coast left to experience is the East Coast, and that coincidentally should not be an issue within a few months; any Philadelphia folks out there?!
Other than that, we'll chat up the rest over a beer or coffee.
PHILOSOPHY
The Golden Rule. There's a Man upstairs, and we better get to know Him
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mostly a host so far, but a soon to be surfer...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My roommate of two years is a top dog Couchsurfing host and I was introduced to this community through him. So...major thanks to him. I haven't surfed yet myself but am looking to within the next few months. Over the last couple years we have hosted many, many surfers and have had great experiences each and every time. Thanks to all those who have come by!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I love silly humor movies. Some of my favorites include Dumb and Dumber (yeah, surprise!), and Zoolander. Unfortunately don't spend much time watching movies though... Another favorite a friend introduced me to: 180 Degrees South. Go World.
Music: The Brighton (yup, look em up), the classics, namely Zeppelin, and other bands who consistently slam down good tunes. MuteMath is a current favorite.
Books: I'm a Barnes and Noble junkie. I don't make it much further than two tables of the middle isle before having a handful of books. (If you're the same way, you know what I mean) Anyway, Malcolm Gladwell and C.S. Lewis are a couple favorite authors.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well there are a lot of things I've been lucky to experience, but I love telling the story of when the ball got rolling. During my junior year of college I had the chance to study abroad in Australia. That experience was a major launchpad for what I love to do now: traveling and being a part of the bigger thing I believe in.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach the Bible to an extent (there's actually good things in there! wow! ha). I'd like to learn the Spanish language. And I'd like to share great experiences, preferably on a mountain with a snowboard or on a road bike on a long interesting road.
