ABOUT ME

Let's see... I think Elvis rocks, Dean Martin is awesome, and Napoleon Bonaparte was a pretty decent statesman. I've played quite a bit of sports, mostly contact sports like rugby or football. Also a major geek. I have too much pop culture, military history and sports stories crammed into my brain. I love comics, movies, TV, games, books... Books are awesome, by the way. Why has everyone stopped reading books? People need to read more, and take less selfies. I've tried offering to buy a pretty girl the novel she was reading at a bookstore. It was a Richard Castle novel, so I approved. She giggled and kinda scurried off. Weird, huh? Oh, I can cook. Decently well. They call me a dealer in bliss and calories. I also do a mean Singapore Sling, and a passable imitation of a barista.

So there you have it. Me. One equal part geek, chef, jock, and fanboy all rolled into a package, and currently a Student at UMass Amherst since September '15. Previously, I was a Combat Engineer Sergeant, then a Club Concierge at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia, Singapore. Ask me about my work history! I guarantee you a couple of good stories.

Quite the history, ain't it? But then again, history is a just a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey... Stuff. That might go ding. Or was that time itself? No matter, I can deal. One thing the army taught me, always have 12% of a plan. It's good enough to start with, and you can always improvise from there.

Hello world, it's a pleasure to meet ya!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm at UMass Amherst in the fall of 2015, eight months after my post-Army trip to Europe last December. Vienna from the 8th to the 12th, Munich from the 12th to the 16th. It was a magical place.

Interests

I'll talk about most things. Sports, film, TV, comics, games, politics, history, and so on. I have my opinions, but I'll gladly listen to yours.
