Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to CS when I lived in Europe at University. I used it a couple of times and really enjoyed the experience. I was introduced to a service called Warmshowers on a cycle tour in 2016. Warmshowers is a community built for cyclists to find showers and places to stay while traveling and it blew me away. More than a cot to sleep on I created lifelong friends and memories.

Couchsurfing and warmshowers encourages connection beyond travel, it fosters a relationship in shared stories, experiences and friendship. I have no issue with staying in hostels or hotels, but it fails in comparison to the experience of CS.
