Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love meeting people with various experiences. Meeting people from different countries is always enlightening. Always wished there was Couchsurfing when we were younger. Admire all who try Couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was visiting friends who had rented a finca (farmhouse) in Ibiza, naturally out in the country. So my friend Michelle was from Paris, she had a few other friends staying with her and her 17 year old daughter, Valerie. We were sitting outside watching a tremendous thunderstorm over the Mediterranean. There was a little wall about three feet high in front of us, which was mostly used for drying almonds. There is classical music in the back ground, very low, because of the noise of the storm. Valerie ever so nonchalantly takes off all her clothes and poses on the little wall. She wraps her arms around her knees, pulling them up to her chest. She holds her head back a little and we only see her silhouette, with the rain pouring down and the thunder. But to see her, this beautiful young girl lit up by the lightning was a wonderful sight I will never forget.
