About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find a good batch of oatmeal with raisins.
ABOUT ME
Teaching English here in central Busan. A gymnast and taekwondo fighter in training. Love to travel and experience special interactions with people and the world.
I've recently discovered the thrill of being more spontaneous in my life, however, I'm still in the early stages of growth in this area so still working up to bigger and better challenges.
PHILOSOPHY
Even though some days it feels like I've been dragged through a mine field, at least I'm still standing and in good health at the end of it all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have only officially couch surfed once however I'm trying to become more involved with CS community. After all, we all have to start somewhere.
My door is always open to enable people to experience this part of the world. I hope to be able to travel and meet new people through this process as well in the near future. ^^

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed on several occasions and mainly host. I've also met some people for coffee before. Great conversations have been had ^^
Interests
When it comes to spending free time, I like to grab a coffee and head out for a hike along the trails that line the cliffs next to the sea. The fresh air and scenery never seem to get old. I'm more of an outside person by nature. One can meet lots of interesting hikers along these trails so it always turns out to be an enjoyable experience.
Whenever I find myself indoors, I like to concentrate on learning foreign languages. I have studied about 13 in total over the years and possess various degrees of proficiency in several of them (by no means fluent). At the moment I am really buckling down hard on Mandarin and German. I also like to practice sports which aren't exactly the most forgiving on the body- Gymnastics and Taekwondo.
I also have a soft spot for Art. Drawing provides good therapy and it is a skill that comes and goes for me but will always be there when I feel creative.
As strange as it may sound, I also have a propensity to collect maps and use them as wall paper. Unfortunately since I have started working abroad I am forced to leave my collection back in the US; however, I am now in the process of making wallpaper out of sheets of paper with all of the Chinese characters and phrases that I have to memorize to fulfill my monthly target of characters learned. ^^

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The view of Kyoto city/Japan at night is just amazing. Especially if you go up into the sky tower when the sun is setting. You can see trains coming and going from the station and all of the various temples and shrines which surround the city :)
Teach, Learn, Share
We'll see what we find out about each other. I'm sure we'll be able to figure something out. :)
