About Me

Just a simple guy born and raised in a concrete jungle called "Metro Manila". A typical Manila boy and living his life what he wanted to be. But every time he wakes up, there is an emptiness in him which he cannot even explain...tsk...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even my own country, The Philippines, has something to offer. I want to explore my country as well as abroad and learn different cultures while enjoying and preserving the happiness brought by the people of couchsurfing world.

I love trekking, swimming, running, cooking, writing [ http://kalokohannijl.blogspot.com/ ], singing, talking, and last but not the least, exploring!

Music, Movies, and Books

Modern Rocks, RnB's, Ballads, anything that the lyrics captured my mood at that time. My favorite movie is "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and my favorite book is the "Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Me and my classmates [in college] did a research about one of the indigenous tribes in the Philippines, the "Agta-Dumagat" and we learned a lot of things like their culture, livelihood, ancestral rights, language, etc. We also did a documentary about our experiences during the immersion and received an award as the Best Course-based Documentary at that time.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a major of Philippine Studies, I think and I assure everyone that I can give ample information about my country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can also teach him/her information about my country, aside from traveling, the main/ and I want my journey to be more informative in a way that I am not the one benefiting from the host's culture but also he/she can also gain transfer of culture from me as a guest.
