About Me

I'm a 22 year-old guy from Canada who is easy to get along with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are a few reasons for why I am using couch surfing. One is because I enjoy meeting new people; especially when they are locals. But another motivation for using this website is that it is a good way to travel for little money.

Interests

Far and away what I find to be most interesting in this world is people. I'm not sure what could be more interesting than living, breathing beings that I am able to communicate with; all with different histories and perspectives on life. Getting the opportunity to engage with a person, I think, will always be my most celebrated experience.

However, despite being a full-fledged amateur at both, I also enjoy reading and writing quite a lot. I like watching movies and talking about movies. The movies can be good or bad, it doesn't really matter. Sometimes, I think it's also worth discussing why a movie was so terrible. And I love to be outside doing things like climbing mountains or swimming in lakes and oceans. I'm very fond of swimming and rock climbing is an activity that I just recently took up.

Music, Movies, and Books

I will listen to any genre of music. But I definitely listen to hip-hop more than anything else. Jazz is another favourite. But whether it be classical, country, folk, r&b etc., I'm always willing to give it a listen.

With literature I read both the classics and more contemporary stuff. Some authors I like are Dostoyevsky, Joseph Conrad, Foster Wallace, Cormac McCarthy and others that I can't recall at the moment.

The best movie I've ever seen is Tokyo Story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I were able to remember what was the most generous or compassionate thing I've ever done was, I think that that is what I would put as 'the most amazing thing I've ever done is,' but I can't remember what that might be.

However, I know that in this life I have been incredibly lucky. Whether or not that is amazing, I'm not quite sure.
