ABOUT ME

As a Westcoaster, I am a bit ironic and a default environmentalist. As a Canadian, I am too reserved for some people's taste. As a teacher, I am interested in a wealth of nerdy subjects such as history, sociology, biology, and current events...

I love stories: I am interested in staying with other travelers to hear about their experiences and worlds. I also like drinking tea, cooking nice meals, and evenings of conversation in many forms.

Unfortunately, if you are a man and you message me without a clear purpose, I will not reply (Couchsurfing is not a dating service). My apologies to all the well-intentioned males out there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. I have seen the caribou crossing the tundra by the thousands above the arctic circle under the midnight sun.

2. Last year my teenaged students brought me pie for my birthday.

3. I have slept on the tundra.
