About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Begin the day with brilliance, and end it with delight.
ABOUT ME
I write without excuses or misgivings. That's my biggest deal. Otherwise, I search small streams for wild trout with my fly rod; try through eager amatuerism to climb various rock faces; want to build a fixed gear bicycle; enjoy knocking people off their bikes on the bike polo court; and late nights in underground bars where the music is interesting and the beer decent and cheap.
PHILOSOPHY
No thank you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Find new roofs to sit on; save homeless cats; introduce those deemed worthy to Batman.
Interests
Fly-fishing, climbing, good books (I mean it, I'm very serious about this, don't give me any crap!), bike polo, interesting ways of drinking vodka, falafel, wild trout, fly tying, sleeping on a hammock in the middle of the forest and living cheap.

Ray Carver, Damien Jurado, No Country for Old Men, to name two.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitch hiked from Texas to Colorado in a day. With 5 different people. Including some drunk New Mexicans and kind Canadians. Oh yeah!
Slept by a river in Romania and listened, wide-eyed and scared silly, as a pack of wild dogs fought with some animal (perhaps a bear?) all night long. Very terrifying--but of course funny now.
