ABOUT ME

A fairly simple and compelling premise to life, I am always ready and willing to take part in new adventures, explore foreign places and take on challenges that will allow me to better understand other people and myself.

I am backpacking alone through Colombia for five weeks to get to know the country. It is my first time here and so far am loving it! In the past I backpacked through South America for six months (in Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Argentina, and Bolivia) and previously lived in the Sacred Valley, Cusco in Peru for nine months working in health.

I love activities like running, yoga, snowboarding, hiking or anything that is either outdoor and/or active. Otherwise my inner nerd enjoys newspapers, foreign policy, chemistry, books, scrapbooking, knitting, documentaries , NPR and Freakanomics podcasts.

I enjoy good conversation over dark beer, red wine, or good coffee. I am open minded an love to talk about almost anything and everything.

I absoutely love and appreciate all of the hospitality I have received throuch couch surfing. Everyone so far has been absolutely wonderful.

Interests

A yogi and runner, you are hard pressed to find a heart pumping activity that I do not like.

Other hobbies include indigenous culture, medicinal botany, reading, Spanish language, and cheese.

I love documentaries. I enjoy movies but have well known narcoleptic tendencies.
Current book indulgences are those written prior to 1937 because they are free on Kindles.
