About Me

After adventuring around Europe and attending a year of university in Madrid, Spain I'm settling back in the United States to finish my degrees and save for a world tour.

I'm triple majoring in Social Work, Spanish, and Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University.

I'm just trying to make the world a smaller place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

... to make the world a smaller place...
and to swap recipes and music...

also, to see what shade of blue the sky is around the world

Interests

people, places, things,... nouns really, I guess I am interested in nouns.

Lame jokes... cooking, music, sewing, coffee, politics, learning why people are the way that they are, culture, languages, dancing, good beer, being thrifty, vintage postcards, history...

~Movies: anything Wes Anderson, something with Zach Braff, sometimes something moody, sometimes simply a comedy. I don't really like going to the movies, but I love watching them at home on a rainy day

~Books: The Great Gatsby, Les Misérables, 1984, To Kill a Mockingbird, Pride and Prejudice... I really like the classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee
La Tomatina in Buñol, Spain
Caving in Budapest
Was interviewed by El Pais about the USA university system
Stole a beer stein from a beerhall in Munich by cable tying it to my leg

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook and bake. I love to share recipes and learn how make new things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to believe that I am good in the kitchen. My favorite food to make is quesadillas or chicken fried steak. I also love to make apple and peach pies! I value a nice home cooked meal. I also just really love to cook for others. I love making up my own recipes.

I find that some people love to discuss American politics and I'd like to think that I know a thing or two about that (but does anyone REALLY know?)

I'm really interested in learning how different countries and communities work structurally.

Conversation, really. I can talk a whole lot about a whole lot of things but I love to listen and learn. I love opinions, and I'd love to hear yours

Also, I like to think that I'm funny so there may be a laugh or two...
