Hi, we are a French couple backpacking around the world during two years (or so). It’s kind of a big honeymoon as we got married in June 2017 and have left our apartment, jobs and home-country few months after.
We are from Paris. Mylene worked in advertising and I was a bank director.
We are friendly, open-minded and honest people. We enjoy having fun with our family and friends and meeting new people on our way !
Mylène speaks a good English. I speak French obviously 😋 but one personal goal of that trip is also to learn English, hoping that my happiness and humour will do the rest!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We use Couchsurfing because we enjoy meeting new people and want to have local experiences. Discovering cities, villages, countryside differently. We also like to share our experiences, travel tips... Mylene had already used Couchsurfing before in different countries and it was an amazing and safe experience for her. It’s been 8 years she’s telling me how great it was so I really wanted to try and for now, we’ve had only good times with awesome people !

Interests

We enjoy discovering new cultures, customs and also local food. We like nature and trekking but also cities (and parties) ! Apart from that, I practice soccer, mountain bike, wakeboard, snowboard and like pretty much every outdoor activities ! Mylene practiced dance for a long time and now do some Pilates and yoga. She also loves photography.

Music, Movies, and Books

We both have eclectic tastes in terms of music: pop rock, hip-hop, rnb, French variety, soul, reggae...
We like historical movies, dramas and comedies, especially English or French but we do watch a lot of American blockbusters as well and like Baz Luhrmann, Martin Scorsese and Tarantino movies. We also enjoyed the Bollywood experience in India !
We enjoy series: GOT, Peaky blinders, Grey’s Anatomy, Friends, How I met your mother, Shameless, Viking...
We are also big fans of Harry Potter :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I use to be a fireman so I have many adventures to tell about but the most memorable was when I had to take my partner out from a house in fire while he was trapped inside.
Mylene’s most amazing experience was her 9months break trip in 2010 !

Teach, Learn, Share

No problem to teach some French language or recipes ;)
Mylène is also great with children if you need a baby-sitter !
