To go with whatever whimsy wanders its way into my path.

ABOUT ME

which right now means teaching English at MCC and working at a pharmacy to make up for the lack of teachers pay, because, and this is highly unfortunate, my apartment doesn't pay for itself, neither does traveling. And, importantly so, neither does iced tea.

In the little free time I have, I write. Poetry. Short stories. Long stories. Purposefully constructed sentence fragments. Effective fragments. Long sentences that continue on, delivering breathtaking images, visceral scenes distracting the reader from realizing the fact there is no subject to be found in the sentence and it is a complete run on, but the wording is so beautiful it doesn't matter at all to anyone.

Take pictures. Lots of pictures with my new toy, a Canon T2i. You can find me running around Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa shooting everything I possibly can, but of late its been concerts and events, some portraiture.

I travel to ancient cities in foreign lands and blend in with the natives, getting mistaken for a local by fellow tourists. Mainly because I wear hats. Not baseball hats or trucker hats. Fedora's. Castro hats. Newsboy and driving and applejack caps. I drink iced tea by the gallon.

PHILOSOPHY

Write it down, make the exposure, create a memory. My word is my bond. What am I without that?

Just starting out, so very little. A buddy of mine has hosted, so I've met a couple of people who've surfed his place.

My MA thesis focused upon the importance of the classic (read: traditional. scary.) fairy tales in the growth of children and adults of all ages. I'm well versed in the heros journey and contemporary children's literature, as well as Modernism of all things.
