But as I now have sold my house and im travelling around looking for a homestead/old farm to buy, I thought it could be cool to try visiting locals on CS and try it out myself as a guest. As I've only had the pleasure of hosting people on CS over the years. I would love to experience where you live and see if your area might be the right place for me to build/restore a farm.) - update 2023

Im a multinational guy, with several nationalities and grew up around the world. Have family pretty much on every continent and my work is making sustainable social projects. Have friends in every corner of the world and meet new ones all the time, wherever my work takes me.

One of my first pleasures in life is to meet new people and listen to their life stories and travelogues .

I like to constantly learn new things and I think that the meetings are parts made for it.

If you are going to come stay with me and you want to make me real happy, take with you some small branches, roots or seeds of any fruit, berry or vegetable you have growing locally where you live. I love gardening too and in my little Eden I like to have all kinds of plants from around the world.

The Stavanger region lies inside H1 Climate zone also with the hot gulf stream passing into the fjord, so we also have the most northern tropical island in the world here too.

(FYI: I live 20 minutes outside of Stavanger smack in the middle of the fjords and mountains, halfway to the pulpit rock. Its easy and cheap (33kr) to get to me from Stavanger with both fast passenger ferry or bus. If you are after the Norwegian nature experience, my place is absolutely perfect. But if your a city dweller who craves their starbucks chocolate latte with foam in the morning, and prefer sterile concrete over walking off the beaten path, my place is ill suited for you.) :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to host people at my beautiful home when im not travelling, and I am a real devil in the kitchen.

Besides when im out travelling myself it can be sometimes boring to stay in hotels all the time and I love it more to get to know the locals and really experience the place im visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music from classical to heavy metal, opera, folkmusic and the list goes on. If it moves emotions or the body, its my kind of music. I also play several instruments myself.

Its hard to choose which books to mention as portraying my taste/personality the most. As I can loose myself in everything from Carl Jungs entire written works, to Tolkiens fantasyworld or obscure and ancient religious books to the major classical greek philosophers or the enlightenment renaissance thinkers.

Im versatile in my tastes and im sure we will find topics that we are both passionately interested in.
