CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy every minute of life.
ABOUT ME
The 1st time I ever took a flight was back in 1982 from Montreal to LaGuardia when I was 6 months old. Since then I have been to hundreds of famous cities in dozens of countries and travelled on dozens of airlines.
I used to host all the time and at one point back in the 2014/2015 era, I would get many many requests and have hosted dozens upon dozens of couch surfers. Most experiences have been extremely awesome and I have become good friends with some of them and we do catch up from time to time. Sometimes by phone, text or even better in Person
Due to the fact that I work multiple jobs, am not home all that much and live with my girlfriend it is much more difficult to host people than it used to be. That being said, previous to Covid I was organizing pub crawls and different fun activities, sometimes day trips. Now that many of the restrictions are being dropped and people are starting to become much more social again, I definitely plan to start getting back to organizing fun events for surfers again.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is all about sharing.

Interests
Life is short and I like to make the most of it. Even though I am in my early 40's I love the following activities. Go Karting, Paintballing, tubing down rivers with a nice cold beer to enjoy. Jumping in 6 degree celcius rivers like a crazy person, Jumping out of airplanes above the clouds, hiking, cycling, going out to swim in the cascades, waterpark's, whitewater rafting and kayaking, horseback riding, snow rafting and tubing, ziplining, acro-nature, snow shoeing, indoor and outdoor surfing (on a board), canyoning, skiing champagne powder, amusement parks, golf driving range, par 3 courses and mini golf, ATV'ing, festivals, swimming, road trips, party's, going to the cinema (depends what's playing), guiding tours, helping people move house and other things make's me feel good. Yahtzee, outdoor spa's, I could go on all day. I can come up with things to do even in the darkest and most depressing times of the year.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love most kinds of music. I love Blues, I love the old stuff like Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Blyther Smith etc... The song too tired by Albert Collins is a great example. I love some urban music. I love Jamaican and Afrikaan type Reggae like good old Bob Marley the legend (RIP) and now his son Ziggy. and dancehall like Peter Miles and Sean Paul. I love House music, especially melodic. Carl cox, DJ Tennis,Lee Burridge and D Nox are all amongst my favorites. Sometimes I like to listen to classic rock music like the stones (especially the song gimme shelter)
I don't watch much tv or movies but when I do watch movies. I love one's that will give me a good laugh or a great suspense film.
I love personal development books. I like Adam Markel, Dr. Dennis Cummins, T. Harv Eker, Randy Gage, John C Maxwell, Darren Hardy, Andy Andrews and so on. Many of who I had the privilege to personally meet. My favorite travel bloggers are Mark & Jocelyn and their family from Wolters World. I hope to get the chance to meet them someday. They are always filled with great travel ideas of all sorts. Definitely recommend checking them out.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to say just one thing. But I'll keep it short. I drove across Canada more than once. I hitch hiked from Halifax to St.John's, except for that water part of course. :) I've been to Machu Picchu which was amazing, I've seen the Taj Mahal in India as well, Iguazu Falls in Argentina, the pyramids of chichen itza and many more cool places. I've been from Montreal to Honduras without the use of even one flight. I've seen an abundance of mutant sized Icebergs in Newfoundland. I visited an orphanage in Uganda which I support on a small monthly contribution, i volunteered briefly teaching English in central Colombia. I jumped off a perfectly good airplane at 14,500 feet in Australia, I have been Scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, Paraglided 2500 meters over chicamocha canyon. Took a safari in Churchill to see polar bears on a Tundra buggy and a 4X4 open top safari in Africa to see a whole bunch of cool animals. Been to the most arid desert on earth the Atacama and to some of the wettest rainforests on the planet as well. Been to some of the highest elevations known to man in Bolivia where I wished I had one of those oxygen masks used in emergency landings. Hiked around the Highland Forests of Uganda surrounded by Gorilla's and Chimps, It was absolutely surreal. I ski'd on top of a Glacier in Whistler, I Bobsledded down the Olympic track in Whistler used by Olympians 2010 and the coach of the actual 1988 Jamaican bobsled team was our driver, no not John Candy. I've also seen some of the coolest scenery in the land of my ancestors which is Ireland & Scotland. I was introduced to the amazing world of Couchsurfing a decade ago. I've met incredible people through this community who I would probably have never met otherwise.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach, I can teach people about the local Montreal scene that you will not find in your lonely planet guidebook. This city is one of those places that has many spots that are awesome but not really well known. My 1st language is English but since half my family is French, I am fluent. I can teach you words if you want, good one's and bad one's. :)
If you're in town, and even if I don't have an event on CS in the days that you're here, feel free to contact me and maybe we can get a beer somewhere. There's nothing better in travelling than getting to meet locals and see how they live. I have created many event's in the past in Montreal and they were loads of fun, especially St. Patricks 2014. I have also organized out of town trips for couchsurfers in the Laurentians, Ottawa, Quebec, Gaspesie, New England.
