About Me

Uhhh, COUCHSURFING people: the editting of my profile is VERY messed up. Cannot update. Fix it. "Where I grew up" keeps disappearing. I can't edit my home information at all. This used to work.
Can't even get this message to the couchsurfing programmers. Couchsurfing ain't what it used to be.

ABOUT ME

Blessed with great family, 3 fabulous kids who have successfully launched into fulfilling lives. I was fortunate to grow up in NYC, now live in rural Connecticut, I've traveled around this beautiful country and Canada. I want to keep exploring and learning how others live.

PHILOSOPHY

Live simply so others may live. I think I saw that on a bumper sticker.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is how I traveled years ago and I'm happy to see this network in place. I would love to share my neck of the woods with those passing through. I look forward to meeting new people and seeing new places and broadening our minds.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've traveled around this country this way, from one friend's couch to another, without the benefit of a network of like-minded travelers.
My daughters and I spent the summer visiting just incredible people and wonderful places, with the best couchsurfers. Every experience was very special, and the people we stayed with will stay in our hearts forever. Last summer my son and I surfed around Amsterdam, Brittany, Paris, and met some very special people. These encounters have left us better people, and the desire to share the hospitality and generosity that has been shown to us. We often talk about the wonderful little guys we met. I have also stayed in the French mountain town of Oleron-St-Marie and our lovely host has come to visit us for a whirlwind tour of the East coast. Very special.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailing in Maine and the breathtaking West Coast of Vancouver Island, seeing whales, seals and eagles.
Kayaking off the Maine coast in the moonlight.
Walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. Snorkled in Pacific Ocean kelp beds off Baja. Saw Pope Benedict in the Popemobile in DC. Shook Ralph Nader's hand. Gave birth to 3 amazing babies. Recently I kayaked in the Florida Keys mangroves, watched a storm pass over and then saw a rainbow. Sunrise over the mangroves loaded with birds. Drove through the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone at night, (in the fall, alone on the road ) the moon backlighting geysers.
