Overview
About Me
There are some people who do well alone, they enjoy the sound of silence, and solidarity is comforting for them. I am not one of those people. I'm energized by the mere presences of other people. I can be a bit of an attention whore, but I try not to be obnoxious. I'm pretty self-aware and, perhaps, overly conscientious of those around me. I like to take the party with me, but I know how to just chill. Meeting new people is an addiction for me, to the point where I sometimes embarrass the people I'm with. But overall, I'm a lover and a romantic, and I want to believe that if everyone was decent to each other, especially strangers, then the world will be a better place.
PHILOSOPHY
Its hard not to smile when the people around you are smiling, so smile for the sake of those you meet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While I haven't necessarily surfed anyone's couch, I have been hosted by some awesome CSers in various cities throughout Southeast Asia. I like meeting people, and I don't like paying for hotels. This is a perfect fit for me. When my kids get out of the house in a few years, I hope to open up my couch to travelers.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies-Action and Comedy. A good drama is nice, but laughing is a staple of my well being.
Music-Rock(Alt. Rock, Pop Rock, etc.) because I like the passion and intensity, without making you want to cut yourself.
Books-Don't read much, but make it fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm a God fearing man. And I believe that I have been protected from a number of things. I make a lot of mistakes and silly decisions, and the one thing I'm always amazed with, is how I'm always taken care of.
Teach, Learn, Share
Being an American (Southern Californian), I tend to get a lot of stereotypical impressions of people groups. Living in a culture that is thoroughly mixed, combined with the social example forming prejudices, has built walls in my worldview that I'm anxious to break down. I want to learn what is at the foundation of other cultures.
I lived in Japan for 3 years, and the one lesson that was pounded into my head over and over is that everyone is the same. People are people, they have dreams, desires, feelings, and fears. But everyone is molded by their society and culture. Its fascinating to me.
