Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience the world through its food, and on its water
ABOUT ME
hmmmm....I spend my summers at home on Vancouver Island, guiding sea kayak expeditions and catching up with friends. I spend my winters working in Africa as a chef for the Tour d'Afrique, which travels from Cairo to Capetown over 4 months by bicycle. Eventually I want to settle down on Van Isle, but that can wait.
I'm passionate about food and outdoor activities. I always have a hacky sac handy, in case of emergencies.
I can be quiet, and self entertaining. I travel with a huge bag of books, and I'm happy just to chill and read. Or I can be fun and outgoing. I'm happy to go with flow, and always keen to experience new things.
PHILOSOPHY
follow your heart, it will never lead you astray.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in a tent over 200 days a year. If I'm not in a tent then I'm not working. In which case I'm surfing a couch somewhere...be it my parents, my friends, my bosses, or a friend...I believe in Karma, and one day I will live in a home with a couch. When this day does arrive, I will be sure to host, to repay my debt, and meet the travelers of the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I seem to live on a couch (or in a tent.) I've been a CS member for 2 years, and I've surfed in Japan, and across Mediterranean Europe. Each host is a new experience, and I'm always excited to see what happens next. The more people I meet through traveling, the more I learn, and the more curious about the world I become.
