About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm going to Australia for some backpacking and would love any advice. I'm a total amateur but I have brass balls which makes up for the lack of experience!!

ABOUT ME

I love to try new things and see far away places but I am flat broke from all of my world travels. It doesn't matter though! I am unstoppable. I do what I must to keep my feet moving and a smile on my face. I have completed touring Europe by bike with a good friend of mine and just pitching my tent wherever it was convenient. I hope I don't sound too much like a bum haha but seriously all I seem to need is one meal a day and a nice sunny spot to park my tent. (A little company is always appreciated)

PHILOSOPHY

I am a total runaway. I just want to make friends and experience that part of life that everyone says you can't find once your married and have kids. I don't want to be the type of guy who waits until I'm old to do all the things that I ALWAYS wanted to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only managed to do a little couch surfingso far but I like to consider myself one of the prophets of backpacking. Spreading the word on how backpacking changes the world for a better place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some wonderful people couchsurfing in Europe and made a lot of great stories! The experiences are wonderful and you just never know what you will find when you stay in someone else's home!!

Interests

Well, I play baseball, softball, tennis, racquetball, swim, run, bike. I can drive a motorcycle and sail boats. Currently I am excited about knitting and crotcheting. I only just started to learn before I left for Europe but I have already made a bookmark or a big green fake mustache, depending on if it is on my face or in a book haha by the end of my travels in Europe I had a pretty classy scarf and mitten combo! More recently since I returned from Europe I have been working on my ridiculous circus tricks: handstands, juggling, unicycling, and hopefully someday a backflip (could still use some more work)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am both a sappy romantic comedy sort of guy and the bad ass stupid action flick sort. It all depends on my mood. For music I like out of the ordinary sort of jams. I am currently working on learning the harmonica. I'll let you know if I ever book any harmonica gigs. and books these days consist of travel books and "how to" books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once ran a 5k in only a man thong. I have also ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know Japanese and would love to sit down and practice with someone. Plus I'll play just about any sport under the sun, including karaoke haha. I was in construction working for my dad for most of my young life so I can help with small home improvement projects. and I am game to learn about anything. Currently I am trying to learn knitting, crotcheting, and harmonica on my travels. I am exteremly basic so far.
