About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am attending Coffeefest NY because I am starting a mobile cold brew coffee business.
Unfortunately I am no longer able to host. I've moved into a shared house. There are 3 married couples and a toddler and not everyone is comfortable with couchsurfing

I am from St Peters, Missouri, but have lived in New Jersey since 2008. I live in a big shared house with my wife and two other married couples. I enjoy hiking, cycling, conversation, coffee, movies, talking about movies, concerts, (folk, acoustic, etc) breakfast, and reading.
I don't participate in the Philly night life much anymore, but I do enjoy bars that are chill enough for conversation, and I especially love going to distilleries. I can advise on the great brunch places, museums, hiking spots, bike shops, parks, and more.
PHILOSOPHY
I just like to try and find the value in everything. I believe there is merit in all people, places, and things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have only had very pleasant experiences as a surfer so far. I hope to host people now, or just meet up with people from all over. I love learning about all the different people and places of this world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have loved every CS experience so far. I've met people that I wish I lived closer to because I would love to be their friend.
Interests
My biggest passions are coffee, cycling, hiking and backpacking, conversation, gardening, being in forests and around lakes, reading, astronomy, fast cars, well any cars really, video games, all sorts of music, and brazilian jiu jitsu and judo.

Music, Movies, and Books
I go through phases of listening, reading, and watching all different sorts.
Just finished Scott Kelly's book about his year on the International Space Station and it was phenomenal. Currently I'm on the 2nd book in the Broken Earth Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It might not be exotic or exciting to all. But just camping on the beach and meeting new people at a place called Island Beach State Park on the Jersey Shore is one of my most memorable bike tours. I kayaked into a pod of dolphins, cooked fresh mussels straight off the beach after the tide went out, and met some really great people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I just really love people who are passionate about something, I love to hear those stories and experiences. I like to tell random stories, I've been told I'm a good storyteller. I am an advocate for bike and pedestrian safety.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Genuine conversation. I love to make coffee. I love driving, so as long as I have free time I would probably love to drive you anywhere you need to go. For taller humans I have several different bicycles that can be borrowed. I want to accommodate my guests in every way I can. I have met quite a few good cooks in my time with CS, but alas, I am not one of them. I am more than willing to buy my host dinner or a drink or both. I just don't feel comfortable cooking a meal for my hosts. It would just end in disaster and me feeling like a failure. And for surfers, you can have access to any of my food and kitchen supplies.
