About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet interesting people and see the world.
ABOUT ME
Sometimes a bit shy and quiet at first, but once I feel comfortable I come out of my shell. I'm easy-going, friendly, and curious about the world around me.
Interests
I'll state the obvious first: travel, especially living abroad. The feeling I get as an expat is addictive. In the same vein as travel are interests in different people, cultures, and food from around the world. I'm fascinated by nutrition and try to live a somewhat healthy lifestyle (though sometimes it's an epic fail).

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I love documentaries. They are my favourite genre of films. One of my favourites is "The Power of Community", which is about urban organic agriculture in Cuba or as the tagline for the movie says "How Cuba Survived Peak Oil".
Music: Hmmm...I always have trouble describing my musical interests. I tend to like a bit of everything. One of my all time favourites is Dr. Draw. This is a Toronto-based group headed by Eugene Draw who plays the electric violin like nobody's business. If you ever have a chance, check them out. The live performance is awesome.
Books: Ah, books. I have a weakness for buying books. I tend toward non-fiction, though sometimes when I'm in the mood I'll pick up a good novel. Some of my favourites are: Small is Beautiful, Ishmael, The Story of B, The Complete Guide to Self-Sufficiency, The Art of Urban Cycling, The China Study, Empty Harvest, The Hidden Connections.
