CURRENT MISSION

I am doing a PhD of Neuroscience in the Max Planck Institute of Munich. After a long period of wandering, it's finally time to settle!

ABOUT ME

They say about me that I am soft-spoken, open-minded and geeky-type. I'd add I am curious, adventurous and somewhat shy. I am a city dweller, but I try to get outdoors each time I can.

I tend to enjoy my time alone, mostly reading, taking walks or watching movies (Netflix has been a great improvement in my life!). However, I love good conversations and seek the company of those who want to engage in them -- if you are one of those, you'll be more than welcome in my house. I am more prone to listening than to talking, but I'll be up to open my mind after I get to feel comfortable with you.

I drink huge amounts of tea, coffee and wine (not a fan of beer, sorry). I eat... most of things (cuisine says a lot about a culture). I will be thankful if you bring me beverages from your land or cook some typical food for me. Of course, I will be willing to show you Spanish cuisine. :)

In general, my tastes are too eclectic as to summarise them easily. One of my main problems is that I lack the time needed for all the stuff I like, so I focus my attention in some of them at random. I may seem self-contradictory at times.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I discovered CS several years ago, in Zurich, and met some very remarkable people. For some reason I don't know, I took a long, LONG time in registering, but finally I made my decision and here I am!

So far I have used it for both traveling and hosting, with great results in either case. CS is a great way to meet people with new perspectives. After all, everybody is open-minded here. ;)

Música, películas y libros

I read a lot and watch films very often, so it is hard to choose my favourite ones. I get moved by good stories, regardless of the genre. However, I can say that I prefer drama to comedy, reflexion to action and fantasy or sci-fi to reality. And I'm always up to talk about movies!

Regarding music, I mostly listen to different kind of rock/metal, folk, indie, jazz or ethnic music. However, that strongly depends on my mood in every moment, so again it's hard to be more specific. Lately, I'm trying to get more into the new wage of Spanish indie that I discovered while living in Granada. I'll probably appreciate any music that is interesting and/or well made, so feel free to recommend your favorite bands to me. :)
