About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to learn about and immerse myself in the cultures of the world, to help facilitate a universal understanding of all cultures so that one day me way eventually achieve peace on earth. I also want to live it up!
ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Jordan, an adventurous 19 year old American student, writer, traveller, and musician. Since my first out of the country adventure to China and Japan, I have caught the travel bug and have set my heart (and wallet) on seeing and experiencing and many places and cultures as I can before I get old and crippled, though even then I hope to still be exploring the world, maybe with a cane this time...and a backpack that rolls. :)
PHILOSOPHY
It saddens me to see so many people lose sight of their dreams and compromise for a lifestyle that leaves them unfulfilled and unhappy. This is why I believe that people should live in the moment, that we should stop putting plans off and start pursuing them, whether it be travel, choosing a job, or meeting new people. That is why i'm starting now, at 19, to see as much of the world as I can and immserse myself in new cultures and experiences before it's too late.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I plan to write a blog of my upcoming backpack trip to Europe, to help answer any questions anyone has about the cities I will visit, to offer English help to anyone who I stay with that would like to learn more, to help assist new members (once I get a bit of experience myself) and to suggest my friends and fellow travellers to check out the CS2 project.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been out of the US once to Japan and once to China, so I haven't had any couchsurfing experience because I stayed in hotels. I do hope I can meet some really cool people this summer during my backpacking trip to europe, hopefully then i'll have some cool couchsurfing stories to tell :) When I DO couchsurf, I assure that I will be polite, I'll clean up after myself, and will not be of any trouble.
Interests
My interests are:
Music. I love to write, record, and perform my songs. My music is on www.myspace.com/jordanmoserct
Reading and writing. My favorite book would have to be The World According to Garp by John Irving.
Travelling. Though I've only been to a few places, I know that I will travel until the day I die. I can't see how people can live their whole lives without even leaving the country once. I also like to paint, even though I paint like a 5 year old.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've hiked the great wall of China, explored nearly all of New York City and played music there, walked the streets of Tokyo, walked the Santa Monica Pier in California, surfed the waves of Hawaii, walked the beaches of Puerto Rico, and wrote/recorded a full length acoustic rock album.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach anyone about music, songwriting, recording, the music industry, or how to play guitar, bass, or drums. I can also offer my skills in English, though I am still working on my English degree. I consider myself to be literate and a decent writer, so I can help with that as well. I also have decent knowledge of New York City that i'd be glad to share with anyone.
