Overview
About Me
I love meeting people and being an active part of my community. I like going out in the community, be it to dance parties or lectures, I just like seeing what is going on. I am passionate about public health and social justice, and I bring those passions with me wherever I go. I started medical school at Ohio State University in August 2014 and will finish in a year.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like many different genres of movies and music, and am trying to get back into reading (med school knocked it out of me for a bit). I don't watch much TV on my own, but I do love watching a movie with others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was unfortunately at Machu Picchu the day when landslides and flooding took away the train tracks between Aguas Calientes and Ollantaytambo. I was living in Ollanta at the time, but what was supposed to be a day-trip to the ruins turned into a week-long stay in the tourist town of Aguas Calientes. I was there with about 4,000 other people, mostly tourists. What made the experience so incredible was that people from each country organized themselves to be in contact with their embassy. It was truly a surreal experience.
