About Me

I am a community development worker and a humanitarian as well. I work for a local non-government organization. I am a global citizen, I am a change maker, I am an advocate, I am a nature lover, I am a ultimate Frisbee player, I am an aspiring surfer. I am a mountaineer-in-progress. I want to travel the world.

My personal goal first is to complete the 82 Provinces of the Philippines! :-) As of January 2020: 77/83 including Manila. Last province I went to was Capiz.

Philosophy:
Straight A's Never Made Anybody Rich. Life is full of adventure. I want to make something meaningful about it. I play life like a true sportsman - play which means having fun while respecting what life could offer and accepting and understanding who you play with. Definitely, this is life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling. I want to discover new adventures. I want to learn and experience different culture. I want to relate with other people. I want to understand different ideologies, customs, beliefs and culture. With these things in mind, staying with local people in the communities where I plan and want to visit is the better way to achieve those I wanted and I loved to have --- Couchsurfing will indeed help me. This will help me make friends. This will create bridges - myself with the world, with different people, with unique culture, with beautiful and inspiring beliefs. I am ready to learn and understand the world I am living in. I am embracing a beautiful world - a life full of adventure, travel and fun.

Interests

I play Ultimate Frisbee. I am into board surfing yet still a beginner. I play badminton. I am into new adventures. Anything extreme and life-changing will make myself giggle like a child. Life is a game - I play with it happily!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to music depending on my mood. When I get to partying and clubbing, I want it house music, trance and pop. When I get to the beach, I love it chill, reggae and acoustic. When I get to rest inside my room, I like it RnB, love songs and OPM. When I am in the road having long trip, I love it pop, alternative rock and inspirational. The type of music that I would listen would not really matter to me.

With movies, generally those show love, inspiration and traveling; those movies that portray the reality of life; those untold realities; those things in mystery... Anything! Anything really!

Not a reader though... But love this book: "Straight A's Never Made Anybody Rich" by Wess Roberts

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I became a volunteer under Global Xchange Programme implemented by VSO Bahaginan and sponsored by British Council. It was indeed an amazing and life-changing experience. I was able to know myself better. I discovered that I can relate to other people. I explored how to understand children who are asylum seekers and refugees. I learned the other side of the world. I become a person of compassion. I become a person with value.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to teach people on how to become humble. I want to teach people on how to relate and understand with different culture and beliefs. I want to teach people that there is more to life than money and greediness.

I want to learn more about myself; to learn more about the world I am playing in; to learn more on the beautiful creations in the world; to learn and to understand other culture and belief. I just want to keep on learning.

I want to share my friendship...
