I grew up in Florida and have two great parents who took me traveling with them since I was a baby. I still love exploring new places to this day and am very easy-going and adventurous. I studied Anthropology and International Studies in Florida and am now getting my Masters Degree in International Development at MIIS in California. I recently lived in Peru for 2 years as a community health volunteer with the Peace Corps. I love dancing, playing cards, movies etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that staying with a local is the best way to get to know a town/city (and the most fun!)

I am a graduate student who is hoping to save some $ too ;)

My friends have couchsurfed and have all said great things.

One day when I have a beautiful, little cozy house somewhere I will open my doors to travelers/couchsurfers too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Blues and Reggae touch my soul. Salsa and anything else Latin gets my feet moving. Country to sing to in the car or shower. And listening to French when I am studying since I don´t understand the words anyway. Plus everything else. (Indigo Girls, Bill Withers, Bob Marley, Michael Bublé, Dixie Chicks, Van Morrison, Bebe, Julieta Venegas, Mana, Empire of the Sun, Motown etc.)

Movies: Life is Beautiful, Love Actually, Across the Universe, The Patriot, Roxanne, etc.

Books: Shantaram, The Time Traveler´s Wife, The Outsiders, The Secret Life of Bees, Etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I competed in the 2012 International Raft Race on the Amazon River in Peru. With three friends, we built our raft and rowed down the Amazon River for 3 days camping on the side of the river each night. It was an unforgettable experience of willpower and wonder at the imensity of the great Amazon.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I cook a yummy breakfast and am a great assistant for lunch and dinner ;)

I will help clean!!! (dishes, floors, whatever....)
