I'm just checking the project out and trying to get a feel for it at the moment. It seems like a good hospitable start to offer my couch.

Interests

I love trying anything new. Some successful past experiments include disc golfing, DDR, and guitar hero. I'm a generalist nerd, enjoying a wide range of nerdy comics, TV shows, internet culture, and video games. I'm also an eagle scout, and love to hike/camp/canoe.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy movies starring Bruce Lee, Bruce Campbell, Bruce Willis, Steve Buscemi, Christopher Walken, and Samuel L. Jackson. I need to get back into reading more - grad school killed my desire to read for fun to some extent, and I want to get it back.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I roasted a marshmellow over a pool of molten lava on top of an active volcano while I was in Guatemala practicing my spanish.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a university-certified catholic theologian, and I love religious discussions in general. I learn a lot of beautiful things every time I engage someone on thier beliefs. Also, there's a LOT of misconceptions out there about what theology (and especially Catholic theology) is and isn't, and I love nothing more than clarifying and challenging misconceptions.
