À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying every moment, one step at a time

ABOUT ME

Well, after much debate about what to write down here, I have to say one of my favorite bits from traveling around the last couple of months has been not only meeting people, but sharing stories, experiences, and travel tips. It's fascinating learning how people in their simplest forms are very similar!

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone has their own paths and choices to make.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One Sunday during my stay in Rome, I was in line on my way into the Vatican City while talking to this couple from around Manchester. They were super fun, and interesting to talk to. The line finally started moving so fast and it's madness getting through into the Sistine Chapel...anyways, I'd lost them in the crowds. About a month and half later I was walking through Florence with a friend and saw them in the streets on their bikes talking to this other gentleman. Without thinking or caring, I said, "Hey, I know you! How are you?" I had no idea that they had been traveling on their bicycles for the past 8 months and had their own website about their travels thus far! What makes the experience better is that they were inspired by this Japanese man who has been traveling around for 10 years on his bike! Guess what! That is who they were talking to when I interrupted with my enthusiastic, "hi!" Apparently, from the map this traveler showed me, he came from China, all throughout India, Pakistan, etc. I was and still am inspired by both pairs of bikers and love how small the world actually is. I now have on my list of things I want to try: travel by bicycle for an extended period of time. I will shoot for a month though, because I am also a realist in regards to myself. That turned into a long story, thanks for reading!!
