About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world before settling down

ABOUT ME

I'm a plain and simple southern guy. I like to do fun random things and try new things I've never heard nor seen of before. I enjoy traveling and getting to know people. I also love to drink good beer and smoke a good cigar, I'll even throw in a good glass of scotch form time to time. I'm pretty laid back and relaxed, and try not to take things too seriously. And I have the tendency to work too much. I'm a Christian guy who loves a humble person. I will respect any person that walks through my door, and I request that I be respected in return.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a believer in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. That makes me a Christian. I may stumble from time to time, but overall, I live my life for the King!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to eventually build up enough credibility to be an awesome host and an awesome guest!

Honestly though, I would really enjoy to have people stay at my place from all over the world. Talking to different people from a different side of the world and more than likely raised in a different way then I was always interests me greatly. I love to hear other people's perspectives on life and why they do the things they do!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, my only experience with CS is as a host. My opportunity to be a surfer has yet to come, but it is in the near future. I hope to be able to provide a world class southern hospitality experience as a host, and spread a little love from the South around the world as a surfer!

Interests

Food, movies, old bars, new places, etc.... I like to do almost anything adventurous and something I've never done before....

I'm also a huge fan of building things. If you ever get to check out my place, you will see that I'm a big time collector of 3D puzzles and Lego sets! Call me a nerd all you want, but you have to have a relaxing hobby to enjoy in life!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I’ve done so far in my live is serve as a missionary in Haiti for a full week. Living with the Haitians opened my eyes to the poverty and disintegration of life that really exist out there, especially in third world countries. That experience has really made greatly more appreciative of all the minor things in life that we take advantage of, but never take the time to appreciate. FYI, I did not surf in Haiti, I do not know if that is possible. However, if you ever get a chance to go over and help the people out, I strongly encourage it.

I’ve also been to Scotland!!
